SpaceX's Starship Rocket Faces Setback in Second Test Flight

Unmanned Megarocket Explodes Minutes After Launch

Cape Canaveral, Florida -

SpaceX's highly anticipated Starship rocket has suffered a major setback during its second test flight. The unmanned megarocket exploded minutes after liftoff, sending debris raining down on the launch pad at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The launch began smoothly enough, with the rocket rising steadily into the sky. However, shortly after reaching an altitude of approximately 8,000 feet, an explosion occurred in the rocket's upper stage. The rocket immediately lost control and plummeted back to Earth, crashing on the launch pad.

The cause of the explosion is still under investigation, but experts speculate that it may have been related to a failure in the rocket's fuel system or a structural issue with the upper stage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the launch pad was clear of personnel at the time of the explosion.
